Love Letters to Korea is a personal essay collection documenting my journey back to South Korea as a Korean adoptee nearly four decades after leaving it. Through these stories, I explore identity, belonging, family, and the experience of reconnecting with a country that has always felt both deeply familiar and entirely unknown. What began as a move to Seoul became something much more profound—a search for home, an understanding of my cultural identity, and a reflection on what it means to live between two worlds.
